Mommy Goggles 'Year Round' Gift Guide!

Little Mommy My Very Real Baby Doll

Do you have a little mama in your house? Kam is 4 years old and loves to play house with her babies. We received a baby doll that really makes her feel at home in her own little magical work with her babies.

Little Mommy™ My Very Real Baby™ Doll

340x450

Perfect practice for the “little mommy” in your life this holiday season is The Little Mommy™ My Very Real Baby™ Doll featuring interactive light and motion innovation to bring nurturing play to the next level. Full of lifelike movements and sounds, baby doll will ask for her juice pop and teddy bear accessories – and when placed in her hands – will recognize and respond to them. Hand baby doll her juice pop to lick, and her tongue lights up green until you magically wipe it away. The boo-boo on her leg also lights up, so you can help make her “all better” and magically wipe it away too.

Tickle baby doll’s foot to make her laugh and respond to your touch. Place doll in a lying down position and she will recognize that it is nap time and close her eyes. Includes a doll, juice pop, bear, ”bandage”, wiping cloth, bowl and spoon accessory pieces.

Baby Responds to Your Touch

Prepare to be charmed by My Very Real Baby Doll. This happy, loving doll comes to life with a simple two-setting power switch (runs on four AA batteries, included). Once she’s touched, she’ll move her arms, tell you she loves you, say “Mommy!” and ask for a kiss. When she’s touched on the left foot, left knee, or mouth, she’ll squeal with ticklish delight.

She plays, she cuddles, she snuggles with her bear, and she eats when you feed her from her spoon, all the while letting you know how she’s feeling with phrases like: “I’m sleepy.” “Where’s my bear, Mommy?” “Wanna play, Mommy? Tickle my toes!” “Hug me, Mommy.” “Let’s go night-night with Bear.” She even asks for a kiss and gives you one back.

Doll Eats Popsicle, Holds Bear, and More

Magnets in the doll’s mouth, hands, and juice Popsicle offer even more interactive fun. Baby will ask for her bear and “know” it’s there when it’s placed it in her hands. The red light “boo-boo” on her left knee turns off when you snap on the included bandage. After she eats her Popsicle, a green light turns on so her tongue appears to be the same color as the Popsicle. Use the cloth to wipe her face and hands when she asks to be cleaned up.

One minor technical hiccup our testers found is that the doll doesn’t always differentiate correctly between a kiss, touch, or popsicle on the mouth, so she may give you a kiss when you mean to elicit the tickle response. Additionally, the boo-boo light on the knee didn’t illuminate consistently.

Automatic Sleep Mode Saves Battery Power

One nice feature is that the doll will go into sleep mode if she’s left alone for more than a minute or two. Sitting her up and then laying her down again wakes her up.

Our thoughts:

I love this doll. Kambry (age 4) loves this doll. I love seeing her nurture, talk to and take care of her doll. She named her Avery, after her baby cousin. While the doll itself is cute as can be, I would like to see a more huggable doll. Her body is hard, her arms are hard, her legs are hard, yet her legs do move with a joint like movement. She is very interactive and that is a huge plus from a parents’ perspective. ‘Avery’ AKA: Little Mommy My Very Real Baby Doll, is able to hold her popsicle by herself by the magnets that are inside her hands. She is interactive with so many sayings (over 150), she will ask for her teddy bear and your little one can feel like she is actually the mommy. Overall, we love the Little Mommy My Very Real Baby Doll and highly recommend it to any little mommy in your life!
