We are about to start holiday baking on Monday, but there is one thing that I am no expert on making and that is Peppermint Bark. Did you know that Williams-Sonoma has Peppermint Bark? When I saw this, I drooled on the keyboard. Literally.

Often copied but never matched in quality or flavor, the confection derives its inimitable taste from custom-blended Guittard premium chocolate and natural oil of peppermint that’s triple-distilled to extract the cool, clean flavor of fresh mint. Master candymakers pour melted semisweet chocolate onto a confectioner’s table, then add a layer of creamy white chocolate. The bark is finished with a snowfall of crisp handmade peppermint candy bits – an inspired contrast to the rich, velvety smoothness of the world-class chocolate. The confection is presented in a reusable 1-lb. tin. We’ve paired it with our new pedestal candy dish: Like a miniature cake stand, this container offers a handsome way to showcase confections. Oh. My. Gosh. There’s three words for you. I have attempted to make peppermint bark, but nowhere did I get near the sweet divinity of this Peppermint Bark.

Where’s technology when you need a scratch-n-sniff screen when you need it? Looks amazing, doesn’t it? That’s because it is amazing. We are about to head out for a few days to my family and I will be taking this beautiful and yummy tin with us. It’s mine. All mine. There are times in life where you don’t ‘have to’ share and this is one of those moments.
